Hello! My name is Todd Nasife, and I’ve been an educator for 20 years. My journey as a teacher has taken me from classrooms in North Carolina to international schools in Kazakhstan, and now to my current home in Haiphong, Vietnam. I’ve taught a little bit of everything—3rd, 5th, and 6th grade—and I’m looking forward to moving into the exciting world of Middle School Math next year.
Why I’m Blogging
For the past few years, I’ve found myself journaling and reflecting more and more on my teaching. I’ve always been a fan of blogs; for me, they are a great way to connect with others and pick up meaningful advice on a variety of topics. My hope is to pass on something useful—whether it’s a classroom management tip or a digital tool—to anyone who stops by.
The Music Side
While my day job is in the classroom, music has always been a major part of my life. I studied music in college and even hold a Master of Music. It’s still my biggest hobby and occupies much of my free time.
Whether I’m playing at the piano or listening to podcasts, I’m usually immersed in something musical. My main interests are anything classical or jazz, wind ensembles, and music history.
On this blog, I plan to share my favorite pieces, things I’ve learned over the years, and new discoveries I think you’ll find interesting.
